Deleting your data

Draft — pending legal review. This page describes what the platform actually stores and how it is processed, written from how the platform works. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a finished legal document. Do not treat it as binding until that review is complete.

How to have data held by Castkom deleted, whether you run a business on Castkom or you are one of its customers. Requests are completed within 3 days and we confirm by email or message when it is done.

If you run a business on Castkom

Disconnect WhatsApp

  1. Sign in at app.castkom.com as an administrator.
  2. Open WhatsApp and choose the connected number.
  3. Choose Disconnect.

Castkom stops sending and receiving for that number at once and deletes its stored access token. You can also remove Castkom's access from Meta's side, in Meta Business Settings under Integrations › Connected apps.

Close your account and delete everything

Email asif@castkom.com from your account's administrator address, with your organisation's name. We confirm the request with you, then delete the account, its staff, stores, products, customers, conversations, campaigns, contacts and events, and disconnect any WhatsApp number and catalogue sync.

If you are a customer of a business on Castkom

The shop, organiser or business you dealt with controls your data, so the quickest way is to ask them. If you cannot reach them, or would rather ask us, email asif@castkom.com with:

  • the phone number or email address you used;
  • the name of the shop, event or business (if you know it).

We confirm the request with you through that number or address, tell the business, and delete your contact record, your WhatsApp conversations with it, your enquiries, and your event registrations, tickets and any face check-in photo.

To stop marketing messages only, reply STOP to a WhatsApp or SMS message, or use the unsubscribe link in an email — you will not be messaged with marketing again.

What is kept

Records the law requires us or the business to keep are kept for as long as it requires and used for nothing else — for example, orders and invoices under Indian tax and accounting law. An opt-out is kept as a suppression entry (your number or address only) so that you are never messaged again by mistake. Encrypted backups roll over and are gone within 90 days .
